The building that houses School No. 3 in Pipera is becoming the property of the town of Voluntari. The news was announced by mayor Florentin Pandele and directly concerns those who live in or are moving to the area, including VIVACITY Residence Pipera, which is 2.3 km on foot from the school.
The Pipera school now belongs to the community
The building and the land become part of the Voluntari Town Hall’s assets.
What happened
The Voluntari Town Hall has bought the building and the 3,000 square metres of land at 21A Drumul Potcoavei, where School No. 3 already operates. The property thus becomes part of the town hall’s assets and administration.
The building has a basement, a ground floor, one upper floor and an attic, and it was previously also a school, but a private one. Until now, the town paid rent for it. From now on, the rent disappears and the building stays with the community.

How the purchase was made
The building and the land will be paid for in instalments, until March 2027. The costs were set through a valuation, and the purchase was approved by the Local Council.
The mayor explained that the alternative would have meant an empty plot and a school built from scratch. That option would perhaps have cost more and would certainly have taken longer.
I want every child in Voluntari to have access to good educational conditions, as close to home as possible.
Florentin Pandele, mayor of the town of Voluntari
Why it matters for the Pipera area
The Pipera area has developed enormously in recent years, and state school infrastructure has to keep pace with the needs of the families who live here. For those who choose Pipera, a school owned by the town is a stable landmark for the years in which children grow up.
The mayor said that the administration will continue to invest in spaces for education and in the development of the town’s schools.
VIVACITY, 2.3 km from the school
School No. 3 is 2.3 km from VIVACITY Residence Pipera on foot and 3 km by car. For a family with children, a distance this small is felt every day.

Calmer mornings
A short trip to school means less time lost on the road and a more relaxed morning, for parents and children alike.
A walk when you need it
The 2.3 km can be covered on foot, by older pupils or together with a parent. The trip becomes a chance for movement and fresh air, not just a drive.
More time for family
With a short distance between home and school, there is more time left for homework, play, activities or a dinner shared together.
